MORE Christmas Decor!!

Or should I say less...? Less is More? .. Well ~ whatever you call it, I took a different approach in our kitchen & sitting room area. This space is all open and the most used room so things couldn't be as fussy as the dining room.

Yes, a burning fire would be lovely! But..husband is home sick in bed (another reason my posts are taking so long! ha!) and I can't figure out how to work the propane! He shuts it down outside for the summer and we have had 80+ degree weather up until a week ago. So just PRETEND there is a roaring fire in there...but I still like looking at my fireplace screen!;)

A little tree in the corner....

Remember my $7 Santa from a thrift store?
(Sorry! hard to take pictures with the windows behind the table - glare)

Getting closer...;)

There he is!

Added some Christmas transferware plates that my Mother gave to me as a Christmas gift last year. I had to wait a whole year to use them!

The goblets too! I was so thrilled that I cried! :)

That's about it for this room! Thanks for looking and taking the time to leave me wonderful comments! I really do appreciate them and as soon as I am able (i.e. hubby gets better & gives me some peace!;) I will be coming by to visit all of you!

Merry Christmas!

Wonderful!! I love the Holy Family - are they made of cloth?
And, of course, I love the Johnson Bros. christmas plates. I have eight that have the Christmas tree on them, but I think I need more!!!! Hope your husband gets to feeling better (for everyone's sake!). Sally

Hi Laurie, OH WOW! LOVE everything, it is gorgeous!! Thanks for stopping by and your sweet comments, I really do appreciate everyone being so sweet!

Yip, it took a while to unwrap all of those peppermints! I could have filled it up a little more but I kept eating them!

Turtles can be mean, Dan opens his mouth sometimes when I pick him up, so I don't trust him. They really do have personalities, as soon as I come in the room they start splashing like crazy! It's really funny.

Back to your room...I love the way you did the Holy Family, that looks great. You definitly have a WOW room! I better get busy, I have a Christmas show that starts tomorrow and need to make a few more things. Take care, Kristen

Wow Laurie, Sooooo beautiful and elegant. Do you mind sharing where you got the gorgeous footed decorative bowl and the Nativity as well? I must say it's the prettiest one I've ever seen. It's picture perfect. Every last bit of it. ~Melissa :)

Laurie, as I expected, it looks wonderful! I love that nativity set! And your beautiful Christmas transferware. Now I want some of that! I'm afraid there are just some blogs that make me want to go out and shop, and yours is certainly one of them! BTW, I don't think I could stand being at home with my dh all of the time. At the office, he is always busy, and I am always busy, and we don't have much time to even talk. When he's home and I'm trying to get something done, he's always telling me a better way to do it, and dadgummit, he's usually right. Good thing I love him so much! laurie

The bowl I'm drooling over is in your very first photo.
Right next to the Nativity scene. Stunning.
Would you believe I just ordered yet another topper from Ebay. My husband thinks I'm a nut. LOL.. :)

I've always loved your home on RMS, and your Christmas decor is just amazing! Really, beautiful! As I knew it would be.
