Christmas Decor!!

Phew!! I got one room done ( did I just say done? silly me, decorating fanatics don't have that word in their vocabulary!) so I thought I better jump on the bandwagon and start posting! I have to admit, I was really Intimidated! I have seen some Gorgeous Holiday Decorating out there! It has made me realize that I don't have enough "Stuff"! - Will have to hit those after season sales...

The Dining Room

Do you know it's hard to take a picture of a lighted tree?

(Sorry - these might seem redundant! It always takes an extremely Looonnng time to upload pictures that I tend to forget which ones I already did!)

On top of the piano....

A little village under glass with lighted houses, a moving train & music.

A peek into the entry - still fussing with that garland! I hang all the family stockings off the railing - including the extended family who stays overnight with us - don't have enough room on the mantle...

And that's it for now...still have a few more rooms to complete! Stay tuned.....

This post took me ALL day! Not because the kids were home but because the HUSBAND was! ;)

That is completely amazing! I'm exhausted just looking at the photos. It's all stunning.

I especially love the village under glass. I've never seen anything like that before- very cool.

I was just feeling good about getting the tree up and decorated but haven't the energy to do a whole house. Wow.

Hello, You're too kind! I do love our home. I am always saying well "next time" I want to do such and such differently. You know what I mean. Kind of like the live and learn practice house. I am grateful to have it though. We'll see what I find in a few months. My husband will let me pick it. I wish I would have picked the movie tonight...Tropic Thunder just wasn't my thing. LOL!
Have a good one. ~Melissa

It looks wonderful!! Also have you been to the blog Southern Hospitality? I think she has dog figurines similar or the same as yours on the piano and she was just at an antique store (not too many posts ago) and she found they were selling for quite a bit of money!! If you have never been to her blog (I don't know of anyone who hasn't she is so talented), you can go through mine to get to hers and check it out.

You are something else! Oh my, oh my...do I love what I see. Everything is so elegant and just perfectly done. I haven't seen anything this pretty in a magazine spread. You are a very talented decorator. LOVE IT! I have missed details others are making. I will go back and look and look again. What's under the tall, small footed dome? I have one just like it.
