Here I am... without a thing in the world to post about. I haven't been out antiquing, refinishing, rearranging or any other "ing". As I browse around from blog to blog, oohing and aahing over the latest vignettes, tablescapes and flea market finds, all filled with such inspiration and here I am drawing a blank.
So until I can get out of this blogger's block...this is the best I can come up with....COWS. yep. cows.
We raise cattle and most days, I am oblivious to them as they just seem to become part of the landscape.
(whoops! How did those get in here?)
Other days I am most annoyed for they usually find an opening in the fencing to come eat our apple trees.
And alot of the time - I am REALLY mad for the wandering calf who causes his Mama to MOO all night long calling for him.
But I really don't pay any attention to them at all...
I mean, sure they are CUTE when they are little....
but I don't spend my free time thinking about them...
I mean just because we live on a ranch....
Doesn't make me a "COWgirl" or anything....
So nope, I never give them a second thought....
Or glance....
Just keeping my thoughts strictly on making my home as cozy as can be...
So until I can get past this mental block, forgive me the pictures of the bovine group. ;)

Loved the pictures of your cows, both the outside ones and the inside ones. It seems very exotic to me, that you raise cattle. Around here, in northern New Jersey, all I raise are eyebrows.
Although just ten miles west of here, there are quite a few small cattle farms. Ranches? Farms? Good grief, I don't even know what to call them, but I love to drive past! There is something so timeless and wonderful about cows.

I was also raised on a farm, but I'm certainly not the farm type. In fact, when I was a teenager I was on a date and my data asked me what kind of cows my dad raised. I sure didn't know so I said "Dalmation Cows." They were black and white.
Anyway, loved the post. It was entertaining even if it was off the cuff.
Aww I love your cows! I love farms, anything with livestock, LOL and I'm not a cowgirl. Hey I'm the one that has NOTHING to write about so MOOOOOOve over, ROFL.

Oh Laurie, I love your cows! Interior and exterior! I didn't know that you raise cattle. Oh, the calves are so cute! I haven't been around cows much. Once, we went to stay in a mobile home for a weekend of horseback riding at a friend's cattle farm. One morning, when I got up and started to make the coffe, I got up and looked out the window, and there was a cow right next to the trailer, blocking the entire window! He was huge, and I was concerned that he would turn the trailer over. He had to be coaxed back to his herd. That's my only cattle story, but it was an interesting morning for me! You have such pretty "cow" treasures in your house. I enjoyed seeing them. laurie

Cows look so pretty out in the fields. And then I had a friend that raised milking cows. OMG, they are a LOT of work! and big!
But, I see you have some nice and behaved cows in the mix!

LOL you're not cow crazy...nope not you! They are cute when they're little...but after living with cows in my backyard for 18 years....I sure know they aren't QUIET neighbors...dang cows can be loud when they feel like it! Cute post!!! I love your cow collection.

Girl I love this!!!! I would live to live ona farm and have cows..My grandmother use to raise baby calves and we would have to help feed them the bottles..ohhhh sweet!!! She had an old milk cow that I adored..I'd go to the gate and call her and she'd come just a running with her cow bell tinkling!
Yeah I can see you are just cold hearted about the cows..it's a shame they don't 'inspire' you at all! lol lol
